It only takes 1 per 100 million in the air for the lemon to react and accelerate its ripening. Because ethylene causes fruit to ripen quickly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Experience of the Dodder, a parasitic tomato plant, filmed on video by Professor De Moraes at the University of Pennsylvania<\/strong>. The dodder feels the beta-myrcene released by the tomato to get close to it by convolution and attach itself to it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-youtube wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-embed-aspect-4-3 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<div class=\"video-container\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Cuscuta Utube Movie, HUJI Israel March 10 2014\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/ulFuIwqC9qo?feature=oembed&#038;wmode=opaque\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Experience Rhoades and Orians and Baldwin and\nSchultz, of Dartmouth on the predatory caterpillar of the weeping willow.<\/strong> When\nattacked, weeping willows emit an odor that causes neighboring willows to\nreact. The latter set up a chemical defense against the caterpillars.
