Le potentiel de connaissance, de d\u00e9couverte et d\u2019utilit\u00e9   pour la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 est comparable. Il faut progresser de mani\u00e8re parall\u00e8le   et nourrir de fa\u00e7on crois\u00e9e la r\u00e9flexion de ces deux piliers de   recherche.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le biomim\u00e9tisme prend ainsi de plus en plus d\u2019ampleur aussi bien en robotique que dans la chimie (la reproduction artificielle et adapt\u00e9e de la photosynth\u00e8se pourrait r\u00e9soudre la p\u00e9nurie future d\u2019\u00e9nergie dans le monde).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les\nplantes ont aussi un patrimoine g\u00e9n\u00e9tique inestimable, et des capacit\u00e9s\nd\u2019adaptation en environnement hostile remarquables. Leurs capacit\u00e9s doivent \u00eatre\nmieux connues et prises en compte dans tous les segments de la recherche.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Percevoir les plantes comme sujet et non comme objet <\/strong>oblige \u00e0 revoir l\u2019ensemble des positions soci\u00e9tales, \u00e9conomiques, philosophiques, \u00e9thiques mais surtout \u00e0 faire \u00e9voluer les politiques publiques et les consciences individuelles. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Il ne s\u2019agit pas de figer la soci\u00e9t\u00e9, par essence \u00e9volutive, mais de ma\u00eetriser ce mouvement, d\u2019\u00e9voluer progressivement en utilisant mieux l\u2019ensemble des ressources, et de fa\u00e7on croissante l\u2019intelligence v\u00e9g\u00e9tale. Les esclaves n\u2019avaient pas d\u2019\u00e2me, les animaux \u00e9taient insensibles, les plantes \u00e9taient inanim\u00e9es. Il faut changer de paradigme.
